A BRIEF HISTORY

Catalogue Clearance Sofas was formed in 2004 by directors and brothers Anthony and Shaun Johnson after a successfull professional ice hockey playing career including over 200 appearances for Great Britain throughout Europe between them.

Initally set up as an online business the growth and success allowed us to open a 10,000 sq ft showroom in Langley Moor on the outskirts of Durham City which gave our local customers the opportunity to view their furniture before purchasing. With the City of Durham housing a large number of student tenants  we were quick to spot a gap in the market for our services as it was quickly apparent that we could offer a service that was previously unheard of by the local landlords, property investors and estate agents.
